John
Fabian;
My
name is John Fabian. For the past 18 years of my
life I have resided along the shores of Lake Erie
and it's tributaries. Some may think that I am young
but my knowledge is not at all limited, but my
experience is that of someone who has been fishing
for over 30 years. Out of season I am a tournament
bass fisherman who is sponsored by Ranger Boats,
Shimano reels, and Warrior Rods. I have 2 state
titles and 1 Northern divisional title under my
belt. My home river is the Grand, and I spend at
least 3 days a week chasing steelhead on "the big
water" as some people call it. As a person I am
relaxed, open for discussion and I like to have a
good time. I believe that a day of fishing is more
then just counting the numbers of fish you hooked,
but it should be a memorable experience. As your
guide my goal is to is to make your outing
successful by any means necessary. I will do my best
to put you on the fish by whichever technique you
wish. I specialize in fishing with both Center
pin/float fishing techniques and the art of Spey
fishing. I have extensive experience with both areas
and I feel they are exciting and are extremely
successful. Book a trip now and experience some of
the worlds finest steelhead fish with Ohio's spring
run of Manistee Strain Steelhead. Twenty fish days
are common with fish averaging around 8 pounds.

Josh Comes;
My
name is Josh Comes, and I've been fishing for Salmon
and Steelhead for about 15 years. I've spent a lot
of time in Michigan on the PM, as well as in NE
Ohio. There are a couple of reasons why I started
guiding. The first is to help people learn how to
fish for Steelhead, and second, I love to fish. I
have a Social Studies teaching license and as a
result I get to teach, and fish at the same time.
What could be better? I have also found that many
people interested in this type of fishing or fly
fishing in general are discouraged, because they
can't seem to get the casting technique down.
Through guiding I have the ability to offer
assistance, which helps to promote the sport of fly
fishing. I also own an online fly shop,
www.tightlinesfishinggear.com, on which you
will find
products from Elkhorn, Ross, and William Joseph.
Hope to see you on the water. Tight Lines, Josh

Damion
DeRobbio;
Hello, my name is Damion DeRobbio. I have been
fishing since I was born! I've become particularly
fond of Lake Erie, and Ontario's tributaries in my
endless pursuit of steelhead and salmon. For the
last dozen or so years, my second home has been the
streams in Erie P.A. Using the lightest line and
tackle available, it has become my key to success.
Even the spookiest of fish often succumb to my
tactics. A lot of people wait until Winter time to
fish, but my favorite time to catch a great lakes
trophy are the end of September to about the last
day in November. March is also trophy Steelhead
time. Although you can catch huge fish over 12
pounds in any given month, Winter days seem to draw
up ridiculous numbers of fish in the 5 to 8 pound
range, and yes it’s possible to catch 20+ steelhead
a day! When the streams quiet down in April, and the
dogwoods bloom you will find me chasing large hybrid
stripers into mid June and Pike and Muskellunge from
March until well into September until the Salmon and
Steelies return, and I get to do it all over again!
